Every year on 25th April a memorial day is celebrated in Italy to remember the liberation from the Fascist regime and the Nazi occupation.
In Rimini the official ceremony of the 73° anniversary takes place in Piazzale Roma - Parco Cervi with the presence of the authorities: the Armed Forces, delegations of partisan and other armed forces, politicians, trade unions and students in Rimini. After the laying of the wreath at the Resistance Monument, follows a procession with laying of wreaths in other places in Rimini historic centre. The ceremony will be concluded in Piazza Cavour with speeches by the Mayor of Rimini, Andrea Gnassi, and Mirco Botteghi, ANPI vice president of Rimini.

At 3.25 pm Beginning of the ceremony
At 3.30 pm Laying of the wreath at the Resistance Monument, follows a procession with laying of wreaths in other places in Rimini historic centre (Augusus arch, Piazza Tre Martiri, Via Cairoli and Piazza Ferrari)
At 4.30 pm Piazza Cavour:
• Speeches by the Mayor of Rimini, Andrea Gnassi
• Celebratory prayer
Speeches by Mirco Botteghi, Anpi vice president of Rimini.
In piazza Cavour, in the afternoon of April 25th, there will be food trucks. From 5 pm: “Liberation dancing”, popular dances in collaboration with Uva Grisa, Bal Folk, Thomas Bertuccioli and following Emily Collettivo musicale of Parma
Events and initiatives are organized in collaboration with municipal and provincial commitees, ANPI Rimini and Istituto per la Storia della Resistenza e dell’Italia Contemporanea (ISRIC - History of the Resistance and of Contemporary Italy Istitute) of Rimini and Coordinamento Donne Rimini.
