On the day of Federico Fellini's birthday, Fulgor, the most famous cinema in the world, will be returned to the city of Rimini at the end of the renovation works of the historic Palazzo Valloni.
A unique cinematographic hall set by Dante Ferretti and brought back to that ancestral and magical dimension, which makes Fulgor the very symbol of cinema as the art of evasion and dream.
The celebration begins on Friday evening, 19th January, at around 9 pm, with a film projection and a parade along the streets of the old town. At the stroke of midnight, entering the day of Fellini's birthday, the party will move in front of the Fulgor cinema with a special show that symbolizes the dreams, the characters, the poetics of the Master, going back to the place, one by one, where they were born, grown up and become great.
On Satturday, at 11 am, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism Dario Franceschini will open the inaugural meeting, in the presence of people from the world of cinema and entertainment. From 3 pm, the Fulgor will be open to the public with guided tours, which will carry on til late at night.
To take part in the guided tours, it is necessary to have a coupon which can be requested only on Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th, Wednesday 17th January at the ticket office of the Settebello Cinema in via Roma (from 10 am to 7 pm, info +39 0541 57197).
On Saturday night, after midnight, enter free. Special opening also on Sunday 21st January from 10 am to 3 pm.
