Rimini bombed

A historical journey in the city of Rimini that brings together history, memory and multimedia
Website:
Address:
Rimini

It is an open-air museum dedicated to the “Rimini bombed” project, which consists of 13 totems installed to map the symbolic places of the bombings within the city circuit.
The totems that show photos and historical cards of the monuments, also allow you to connect, by framing the QR Code present on each, to the site www.riminibombardata.it by browsing and selecting places and contents. On the site there is a rich historical and photographic documentation, but also a downloadable map with the main points of the city circuit. Each point is associated with an in-depth information sheet, with archival photographic materials and the six video interviews carried out with those who, in those places, knew and lived through the war.
Rimini came out of the Second World War completely razed to the ground, with an impressive number of victims and displaced persons and with an artistic and cultural heritage under the rubble: 35 percent of the buildings destroyed, 40 percent damaged. Rimini in fact suffered one of the most serious destructions of the war, which earned it the Gold Medal for Civil Valor (January 16, 1961).

Here are  Stages of the route  that includes 13 points to be searched on the map:
1 »CONVENT OF SAN FRANCESCO
2 »MALATESTIAN TEMPLE
3 »TRE MARTIRI SQUARE
4 »CHURCH OF SAN BERNARDINO
5 » MONTANARA GATE
6 »VIA MONTEFELTRO
