Discover Rimini paying homage to the great dirtector Federico Fellini starting from his famous films, in particular from his most autobiographical work "AMARCORD":

Rimini - Fellini

1.Piazzale Fellini: the Grand Hotel, symbol of the forbidden desires;
2. Piazzale Boscovich: the pier, the socalled "palata", Winter destination of the loafers in the film "Vitelloni" and favourite place of Scureza, the motorcyclist in "Amarcord";
3. Piazzale C.Battisti: the railway station, the train, metaphore of departure, often used by the Master;
4. Via Clementini n. 9:  Palazzo Dolci, the house of his youth and of his first love;
5. Via Oberdan: his sister's house and the old seat of the Fellini Foundation;
6. Piazza Ferrari: war memorial, the naked statues;
7. Via Gambalunga: Palazzo Gambalunga, the old gymnasium, theatre of many students' jokes;
8. Piazza Cavour: Pigna fountain recalls the snow balls to Gradisca, Scureza's raids, the enchantment of the peacock;
9. Piazza Cavour: the stairs to the Arengo Palace and the tower of the Commune recall the fascist celebration and the lonely protest with the grammophone in "Amarcord";
10. Corso d'Augusto: the cinema Fulgor, part of the new Fellini Museum, the largest extended museum devoted to this genius screenwriter ever named after a film director, which includes the magnificent jewel of the Renaissance, Castel Sismondo, and Piazza Malatesta now named Piazza dei Sogni (square of dreams);
11. Ponte di Tiberio: the thousend miles in "Amarcord";
12. Borgo San Giuliano: the murals, painted by artists from Rimini and representing the films and the life of the Maestro;
13. Civic Cemetry: "La Grande Prua" , the monument in honour of  Federico Fellini and his wife Giulietta Masina, work of the famous artist Arnaldo Pomodoro. It represents the bow of a boat pointing towards heaven recalling the legendary Rex in "Amarcord".
