Various excavations have unearthed the remains of splendid Roman domus, dating back to the imperial period at the site of the Chamber of Commerce in Via Sigismondo, in via IV Novembre (Palazzo Massani) and around Augustus' arch.
Some remains of Roman pavement are visible along via IV Novembre and in piazza Tre Martiri:
