The park widens from the new bridge over via Roma to the Arch entitled to Emperor Augustus. From here you can proceed towards the Congress Center in Via della Fiera, on one direction, and towards the beach, to Piazzale Kennedy, on the other. The entire park is crossed by a cycle path, which connects the center to the sea.
The park is named after Alcide Cervi, whose seven sons became heroes of the Italian Resistance as a memorial stone near the medieval walls testifies. In front of Augustus Arch is also placed a commemorative plaque on the breakthrough of the Gothic Line, inaugurated in October 2004.
Close to via Roma, half way between the old centre and the beach there are sculpture by the local artist Elio Morri, entitled "La Resistenza" – The Resistance", in order to commemorate the important role of the resistance in the liberation of Italy (Rimini was on the front-line in 1944 and saw fierce fighting between fascist forces, and the resistance and allied forces).
