Rimini - The longest New Year's Eve in the world. New Year's Eve

The "longest New Year's Eve in the world" touches the highest point, as per tradition, on December 31st with many shows spread throughout the historic center. Ten different spaces in the city center, each with a different artistic proposal and entertainment from aperitif time until late at night:
Fire at the Castle
The most awaited moment is a show of fireworks, lights and sounds to set Sismondo Castle on fire. A unique moment that puts the Malatesta castle at the center of a show between magic and dream, between cascades of fires, colored trails and intermittent lights, with more than a thousand effects divided into various colors and shapes synchronized in time with the music.
Two shows are scheduled at 00.30am and 02.00am. Free admission

Malatesta music landscape

A musical journey from hip hop to electronics, to pop-jazz and swing repertoire with:
Kelly Joyce, accompanied by the CeCanto Band and the string quartet of the Gioacchino Rossini Orchestra of Pesaro. The singer test hereself in a pop-jazz and swing repertoire, with excursions into Italian songwriting and traditional French songs.
Frankie hi-nrg mc to follow, an eclectic artist who acts as a DJ, offering a selection of rap/hip hop and electronic music, ranging from famous hits, hidden treasures of the underground and interpreting some of his greatest hits LIVE. The music accompanies until the countdown, introducing the shows scheduled at the Castle.
Rulas Quetzal opens the evening, from 6.00pm to 7.30pm, with a percussion and fire show.
The evening is concluded by the Satellite Rock Club DJ crew, for a musical journey through rock that ranges from the 70s to today, contaminated at the same time by electronic, psychedelic and alternative Italian sound influences.

RDS Party & Paradise Reunion

From the aperitif until late at night, a large open-air club where the historic DJs of the legendary Riviera by night create an evening in the atmosphere of the clubs of the 80s and 90s.
The musical program of the evening will retrace the last 30 years of dance music hits in a modern version with the official dee jays of the Paradiso Reunion, Gianni Morri, Max Padovani, Paolo Nhe, Michelino & Paolino Zanetti, supported by international artists, such as trumpeter Stefano Serafini, percussionist Luca Florian and electronic violinist Mark Lanzetta.
To open the evening, the Academy Deejay Crew of Rimini with DJ Max Monti and the CITY band _ Music Academy Young.
RDS 100% Grandi Successi is the official radio for Rimini's New Year's Eve 2023. The conductors Roberta Lanfranchi and Claudio Guerrini will lead the audience towards the midnight toast and beyond, to celebrate the new year with a DJ set in full 100% Grandi Successi style and many gadgets for the participants.

Riviera Nightlife

A selection of the best local artists of Rimini's Riviera Club Culture for a New Year's Eve dedicated to music of high quality. Among the others: Niconote live, Ricky Montanari, the duo Club Paradiso, Labiuse, Carebears.

New Year's Eve Hot & Swing

with Mauro L. Porro's Swing Band feat. Sara Jane Ghiotti and the Rimini Swing Aviators dancers.
Rimini Jazz Club offers a New Year's Eve in perfect Cotton Club style in the Sala Ressi of the Galli Theater, the perfect setting to relive the fascinating atmosphere of the jazz clubs of the Roaring Twenties.

America Latina

Latin rhythms by the GRANCARIBE staff with dj sets by Rafael Nuñez and dj Naps. A dancing journey from the Antilles to South America. Cuban, Brazilian and Dominican dancers will perform, proposing capoeira and Argentine tango, Dembow current Latin music and reggaeton. From 10.30pm Free admission

End of Year Portraits: photo session of portraits by Enrico De Luigi

In the Arengo and Podestà rooms you can admire the contemporary works of art from the eclectic collection of the San Patrignano Foundation and take part in a special themed photographic set created by photographer Enrico De Luigi at the Arengo.

Rimini/New York: Redemption songs

Among the mosaics of the Domus, Lorenzo Semprini, Alessio Raffaelli and Massimo Marches propose a musical journey of "Redemption songs" from Bob Dylan to Bruce Springsteen, passing through Lou Reed, Bowie, Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, U2, unreleased songs and the imagination of John Fante and David Lynch.

Toast of art in music

Concert by the Schumann Trio with Silvia Marini (Flute), Aldo Maria Zangheri (Viola), Monica Micheli (Harp). A line-up unusual and suggestive thanks to the technical possibilities and so different sounds, which mix together and adapt themselves to every type of repertoire, from the baroque, through the romantic to the music of a few decades ago. Edited by Rimini Classica.
Followed by the traditional midnight toast.

The last film of 2022: screening of the "family version" by Donnie Darko; as Richard Kelly would have written and directed Donnie Darko fifty years earlier. 9.00pm.
The cloister of the Gambalunga Library hosts the immersive video projection "Rimini what it is", a story in images that tells Rimini over the last two centuries.   4.00pm-7.00pm and 9.00pm-02.00am. Free admission

Back to the Eighties

At Fulgor we celebrate the arrival of 2023 with a return to the 80s. After the single screening as scheduled at 9:30pm (single price €8), a midnight toast with sparkling wine and panettone.
Followed by Back to the eighties. Choice between: Ghostbusters (1984) by Ivan Reitman, a timeless cult, and Pyramid of Fear (1985) by Barry Levinson, a young Sherlock Holmes in 19th century London dealing with his first case.
