The initiative is an opportunity to discover the sea traditions of Rimini through a re-enactment of the fishing technique 'La Tratta', a "poor" fishing technique that was in use on the coast from ancient time until the 1950s.
This kind of fishing will be proposed in a practical demonstration with the aim to keep alive the local tradition and discover the ancient fishing in the Adriatic sea, which has always been a main resource for the seafarer population in Rimini.
After the fishing demonstration, there will be a tasting of grilled fish, cooked according to the ancient local tradition, accompanied by 'piada' and local wine.
Anyone wishing to become a fisherman for a day and relive the ancient tradition of 'La Tratta' can just go to the beach in the afternoon, around 3.00 pm, to prepare for the descent and participate in the collection of the nets on the following days:
- on July 16 at the Bagni Ricci in Miramare (142)
- on 31 July at Bagno 68 (Lagomaggio area)
- on 21 August at Bagno 89 Lele - Marea Spiagge (on this date the meeting is anticipated at 10 am)
- on 4 September at Bagno 68 (Lagomaggio area)
- on 18 September at Bagno 106 / b in Rivazzurra Cocobeach (appointment canceled due to adverse weather forecasts).
