An international event, a crossroad of testimonies and experiences of different cultural origins: a lively and unique event on the world scene, it deals with crucial issues, in free and open dialogue among the most interesting personalities of culture, politics and faith.
The forty-second edition returns to the Rimini Fair district, in strict compliance with the rules for the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus. At the same time, the digital infrastructure will be enhanced (around 3 million people connected online last edition) with the app, the Youtube channel and the television broadcasters of the media partners SkyTg and Avvenire, and newspapers, from Corriere Tv to Tv2000.
Essentiality, simplicity and synthesis. These are the characteristic features of the 2021 edition of the Rimini Meeting in continuity with the visual and communicative flexibility of the 2020 Special Edition. With the title "The courage to say I", this new edition becomess an invitation to rediscover the consistency and greatness of one's life so that through responsibility, dialogue and creativity it becomes ever more full and fruitful.
This year edition will be inaugurated by Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic.
Every night, shows in Rimini’s historical centre (Arena Spettacoli SGR - Piazza Tre Martiri). On the stage Uto Ughi, the best known Italian virtuoso of violin, who will inaugurate the 42nd edition of the Meeting with his Uto Ughi and Friends Orchestra (Friday 20 August at 21.30) and Federico Mecozzi, who, despite his young age, will show the public his skill as a musician, composer and arranger (Sunday 22 August at 21.30). These shows would be available on payment. Tickets can be purchased on the www.vivaticket.com platform. On Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd August in the “Corte degli Agostiniani” (Rimini old town) the screening of films will be proposed. On the last night, 25 August, presented by Lorenzo Baglioni, the winners of the Meeting Music Contest - the music contest addressed to all music artists and bands, in partnership with the Mei-Meetings of Faenza’s independent labels - will be announced. 
Twelve are the exhibitions set up in the halls of Rimini expo centre. Visits to exhibitions, including guided tours, are free. Free admission also for the exhibition “The hand of the artist and the human effigy. Contemporary Italian Sculpture" hosted in the PART - Palazzi dell'Arte Rimini (Rimini Art Palaces) in Piazza Cavour. The opening hours are the same as those of the museum.
