The documentary exhibition entitled 'The imagined comedy' is proposed as part of the Francesca 2021 project.
Dante's Hell, Purgatory and Paradise illustrated by famous artists, shows the birth of the 'imagined' Comedy in the meaning of the story through images.
The exhibition collects some rare examples of ancient Comedies together with the most recent forms of illustrated writing: from graphic novels to manga up to pop-up books. in addition the splendid lithographic plates made in 1850 by Franz Adolf Adolf Stürler complete the exhibition.
