On the occasion of the Biennale Disegno Rimini 2018, at the Museum of the city, there will be a guided tour at the exhibition “Fogli della Follia. Fortunato Duranti, visionary and romantic” with the art curators Alessandro Giovanardi, historian and art critic and Franco Pozzi, artist and collector.
Fortunato Duranti (Montefortino 1787-1863), an artist from the Marche region, was formed in Rome between the neoclassical and the romantic age. A genius and irregular artist, he has been influenced by the art of Raffaello and by the experiments of Poussin, Pietro Testa and Salvator Rosa.
The exhibition combines some drawings from a private collection, with the precious and important loan of 90 papers from the "Romolo Spezioli" Civic Library in Fermo.
