Rimini reopens for Easter in the name of events, an edition that promises to be a record for the Paganello

Rimini warms up its engines in view of the arrival of Easter.
Between the Easter festivities, the long weekend of April 25th which falls on a Tuesday and that of May 1st which falls on a Monday, this year the calendar offers the opportunity to take advantage of a few days of vacation and two long weekends dedicated to sport, culture and music.
As per tradition, Easter will be accompanied by ‘Paganello’, the international "Beach Ultimate" tournament which is about to return with an edition that promises record numbers. There are already 136 teams from all over the world with over 1600 athletes (4 categories: mixed, woman, open and junior). This 32nd edition of the Paganello will see the participation of teams from Venezuela, Finland, the United States, the Czech Republic, Sweden, as well as Belgium, Holland , Austria, Germany, involving hotels, restaurants and tourist activities.The Freestyle champions will also be back this year.
Rimini is ready, with a redeveloped historic center and with a busy program of guided tours and opportunities to discover the cultural face of the city and with theme parks ready to welcome visitors with offers and new attractions for the 2023 season. In Rimini Italia in Miniatura reopens the last two weekends of March while Acquario di Cattolica and Oltremare in Riccione open their doors from 1st April.

Lazarus

'Lazarus' is the title of the surprising rock-opera conceived by David Bowie shortly before his death , co-written with award-winning Irish playwright Enda Walsh, based on Walter Tevis' The Man Who Fell to Earth.
Lazarus, which premiered Off-Broadway at the New York Theater Workshop on December 7, 2015 (Bowie's last public appearance), offers a sort of sequel to the story of the unhappy interstellar migrant Newton, forced to stay on Earth.
Valter Malosti signs the direction and the Italian version of the show which sees Manuel Agnelli in the role of the tormented protagonist of this rock opera.

Paganello Paradise

For the Easter weekend, Rimini will be invaded by the 'flying saucers' of Paganello, the Beach Ultimate World Cup, or rather the sport of frisbee played on the sand. A great edition is expected again this year, with teams from all over the world. It will also be possible to attend the competitions and exhibitions of freestyle players. Adriatic Trophy

Rimini becomes a meeting point for teams from all over Europe, who meet in Rimini for the International Youth Football Tournament, organized by Tropical Coriano.
The Trofeo Adriatico matches are spread over various sports centers in the area, all close to the hotels where the teams stay. Some of the finals are held at the Rimini FC stadium. Info: www.euro-sportring.com/it/trofeo-adriatico.

Somar Lungo, the traditional Easter Monday trip to the Sanctuary “delle Grazie” on Covignano hill, is usually dedicated to a theme dear to the city and its traditions and it is characterized by a parade of carriages and bicycles. The event recalls a tradition dating back to the eighteenth century which has been rediscovered in recent years and has now reached its thirteenth edition. Departure at 8.45 am from the beach area (Caffè delle Rose) and arrival at the Santuario delle Grazie at round1 pm.

The Fellini Museum - Palazzo del Fulgor hosts the exhibition of the Cesenatico photographer Lorenzo Mini, with photographs that pay homage to Federico Fellini.
Images captured on the beach in the fog, in a Fellini-like atmosphere that can only make you think of one of the scenes from the Master's film, Amarcord.
