Reaching the heart of Emilia-Romagna has never been so simple or sustainable. The 2026 season marks a new milestone for the Riviera's accessibility, making it the destination of choice for those seeking a relaxing, scenic, and low-impact journey.
From Switzerland: the new Zurich-Rimini Eurocity
The highlight of the season is the new daily direct Eurocity connection between Zurich and Rimini, running from 30 May to 5 October 2026. This service is designed for those who wish to wake up among the Alps and enjoy an aperitivo by the Adriatic in the late afternoon:
- From Rimini to Zurich: departs at 09:52, arriving in Switzerland at 17:27.
- From Zurich to Rimini: departs at 10:33, arriving on the Riviera at 18:23.
Seven and a half hours of comfort, travelling through stunning landscapes to arrive directly in the heart of Rimini, just a short walk from the sea and the city's historical treasures.
From Bavaria to the Riviera: the return of the Railjet from Munich
The long-standing link with Germany is also confirmed and strengthened. The Railjet high-speed train will connect Munich & Innsbruck to the Riviera daily with an even broader schedule. For 2026, the service will start earlier, on 2 April—just in time for the Easter holidays—and will run until 3 October. Thanks to daily stops in Bologna, Cesena, Rimini, Riccione, and Cattolica, the Riviera remains the most competitive and convenient choice for Bavarian travellers, allowing them to enjoy the first spring sunshine and autumn colours with total ease of travel.
