From 14 to 16 August, Rimini offers a packed weekend stretching across the beach, the historic centre, the Parco del Mare and the resort districts along the coast. The programme includes Ferragosto celebrations, live music, food events, theatre performances, markets, dawn activities and traditional beachside experiences.
1. Fireworks over the sea light up Ferragosto in Rimini
Ferragosto evenings sparkle with spectacular seaside fireworks displays, one of the most beloved summer traditions in Rimini. On 13 August at 10.30 pm, all eyes will be on Miramare Beach (beach establishments 138-140), while on 15 August the celebrations move to Torre Pedrera, where a stunning double fireworks display will illuminate the sky from the areas in front of beach establishments 60 and 64. A special opportunity to experience the magic of summer nights by the sea in a festive atmosphere.
2. Discover local flavours between Parco del Mare and Marina Centro
From 14 to 16 August, the area between Piazzale Kennedy and Parco del Mare hosts Dire, mare, mangiare ("Say Sea, Savour"), an event dedicated to local specialities, street food, tastings and the food and wine culture of the region. Admission is free, while tastings are available for a fee. Activities begin from 9 pm.
In Marina Centro, from 13 to 16 August, Arte e Gusto ("Art and Taste") enriches the programme with food stands, food trucks, craft beer and live music in Piazzale Fellini.
3. Experience Ferragosto along the Coast
The entire Rimini coastline comes alive over the weekend with celebrations, markets, music and entertainment.
In Miramare, from 13 to 16 August, Lungomare Spadazzi hosts evening markets, live music, karaoke and performances, while fireworks light up the beach on 13 August.
In Viserba, Piazza Pascoli welcomes the Sganassau Cabaret featuring the Duo Torri on 14 August, followed by the Viserba Day Fest on 15 August.
In Bellariva, the Parco del Mare offers music and a market in Piazzale Gondar. Meanwhile, Torre Pedrera celebrates the most anticipated holiday of the summer with two consecutive events: Aspettando il Ferragosto ("Waiting for Ferragosto") on 14 August and the ‘Mare Anni ’80’ Musical Parade on 15 August, taking place along Lungomare San Salvador and on the beach, culminating in a fireworks display at 11.30 pm.
In Rivabella, from 14 to 16 August, evening programmes combine markets, live music and entertainment, including Le Sirene Danzanti dance show on 16 August. In Rivazzurra, on 15 August, strolling street performers will entertain visitors along the beach between establishments 107 and 121.
In San Giuliano, Giardino Bimby hosts NEIDA Live on 16 August as part of the 'Sere d’Estate al Giardino Bimby' programme, featuring performances, live music and family entertainment.
Most events are free of charge and generally start from 9 pm.
4. Attend the traditional Dawn Ferragosto Mass
On 15 August, the day begins with the traditional Holy Mass on the shoreline at the free beach of Piazzale Boscovich. Celebrated at dawn, around 6 am, it is one of the longest-standing Ferragosto traditions in Rimini. Admission is free.
5. Enjoy Live Music in the historic centre, parks and open-air venues
The weekend features a rich programme of live music.
On 14 August, the gardens of the Palazzi dell’Arte host Swing Out Summer, featuring the Savoy Jazz Band and local lindy hop dance schools. The event begins at 9.30 pm and admission is free.
At Area Settebello a7b, in Via Roma 70, three events are scheduled over the weekend: Country Night on 14 August at 9 pm, Superflash on 15 August at 9 pm with Italian and international hits from the 2000s to the present day, and a live performance by Blitz on 16 August at 7.30 pm as part of the Sound Valley series. Admission is free.
Also on 14 August,Parco degli Artisti hosts Remember Bandiera Gialla, an evening dedicated to the classic atmosphere of the Riviera's golden years. On 16 August, the same venue presents the sunset concert Italia, un Alfabeto di Note!, featuring Sergio Casabianca and the EOS Quartet, at 8.30 pm. Admission is subject to a fee.
6. Join a Guided Tour through Renaissance Rimini
A journey into the Renaissance world of Bellini, Mantegna and the Malatesta family awaits visitors on 15 August at the Luigi Tonini City Museum.
Linked to the exhibition The Code of the Passion. Bellini and Mantegna in Comparison, the guided tour starts in the museum's Manica Lunga gallery and takes visitors through the extraordinary artistic season of Renaissance Rimini, from the influence of Giotto and Byzantine culture to the masterpieces commissioned by the Malatesta dynasty.

Ferragosto weekend is also an excellent opportunity to explore Rimini's cultural venues, such as the Fellini Museum, the City Museum, Palazzi dell'Arte and all the exhibitions.
At the City Museum, visitors can see The Code of the Passion. Bellini and Mantegna in Comparison, while the Palazzo del Fulgor hosts exhibitions linked to cinema and photography, including Rimini Express and inVisibili. The Women Pioneers of Cinema. Until 16 August, visitors can also enjoy Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse at Castel Sismondo, as well as Estate Contemporanea at the Palazzi dell’Arte, open from Tuesday to Sunday.

Throughout the weekend, numerous seaside districts host summer markets and open-air fairs.
In Miramare, Rivazzurra, Rivabella, Bellariva, Torre Pedrera and Marina Centro, evening walks can be combined with browsing craft stalls, creative products, hobby displays and entertainment.
In the historic centre, every Friday evening, Piazza Cavour hosts the traditional Venerdì Sera in Centro ("Friday Evening in the City Centre"), a market dedicated to art, antiques, collectables, vintage items, twentieth-century design, artistic crafts and curiosities from the past. The event also includes I Venerdì d’Arte ("Art Fridays"), showcasing artists from the Elio Morri and Goffredo Pizzioli Artistic Association.
9. Welcome the Sunrise with seaside Sport and Wellbeing

For those seeking a cultural experience, the Court of the Agostiniani (via Cairoli 42) hosts Fabbrico. Story of an Anti-Fascist Town on 16 August, written and performed by Massimiliano Loizzi as part of the Le Città Visibili theatre and music festival.
Beginning at 9 pm, the performance explores themes of collective memory and civic commitment. Admission is free and the event forms part of the programme marking the 82nd anniversary of the death of the Three Martyrs, which also includes an official commemorative ceremony with the City of Rimini Band (10 am) and guided visits to sites connected with the local Resistance movement (on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6.30pm).
