From 2 April 2026, perfectly timed for the Easter holidays, the direct rail service between Munich and the Romagna Coast will resume operation.
Managed in partnership with the German railway company Deutsche Bahn (DB), this service offers a comfortable and sustainable travel option for visitors arriving from German-speaking countries. In addition to Rimini, the train will make strategic stops in Cesena, Riccione, and Cattolica, providing direct and easy access to the region’s premier seaside resorts and cultural landmarks.
Thanks to an exclusive partnership between the Romagna Riviera and Deutsche Bahn, passengers can find full route details and timetables in dedicated flyers available at DB Travel Centres and promotional stands. To help guests make the most of their stay, new thematic guides are also available in several languages. These highlight specialised itineraries for the region’s famous Art Cities, the Motor Valley, and the historic villages of the Rimini countryside.
This promotional campaign across German-speaking markets (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and the partnership with Deutsche Bahn have been organised and promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region, through its tourism board Apt Servizi Emilia-Romagna, and Visit Romagna—the tourism body representing the provinces of Rimini, Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna, and Ferrara.
