A long calendar of appointments to browse through ON LINE , also helped by the Qrcode that stands out in the posters created by the Leonardo Sonnoli studio. Inspired by some visual elements of the 1980s and making them contemporary, Sonnoli has designed the poster that will be on display throughout the summer to welcome guests to the city with an invitation to browse the sea of the thousands of proposals of the Rimini summer, always up to date.

   > Culture

The cultural programme is extensive this year and will feature a unique unifying theme: a journey into the 1980s, marking the 40th anniversary of the publication of Rimini by Pier Vittorio Tondelli. This novel brought the city into the literary spotlight, with Rimini becoming both setting and symbol in Tondelli’s third book—a portrayal that would forever change its image through the lens of literature. Forty years after the release of the novel that marked his literary breakthrough, Rimini dives once again into that era with a rich programme of musical, literary, theatrical, cinematic, and exhibition events. The aim is to pay tribute to the writer from Correggio and to relive the atmosphere and spirit of a decade that shaped an imaginary world still very much alive today. The heart of the long calendar will be the CCCP-Fedeli alla linea concert (24 July), anticipated on 27 June by the opening party 'Apocalypse, now' in the Francesca da Rimini arena with the inaugural happening that transforms Rimini into a city-novel with videomapping and the sounds of the 80s, which will be revived in the squares of the old town centre. The story continues on 9 July with Milanesiana 's homage to the Galli Theatre featuring a literary prologue by Enrico Palandri, followed by a dialogue between Enrico Ruggeri and Alessandro Gnocchi, complemented by musical performances by Enrico Ruggeri himself. A special dedication to Pier Vittorio Tondelli could not fail to come from the festival that takes its name from the 1991 epistolary collection, Tickets to Friends, which, on the 70th anniversary of his birth, will dedicate a special meeting of its three-day festival (17-19 June) to the author who inspired the spirit of the festival with writer Enrico Brizzi and actress Tamara Balducci. There is yet another reminder of that turbulent decade with two Percuotere la mente events which revisit some of the creative threads of the 1980s. On 29 July, the Corte degli Agostiniani will host a special guest: Vasco Brondi, in an evening event entitled Rimini come Hollywood, featuring songs and readings, while on 29 August it will be the turn of a name that marked the music of that time, prominently featured on the Tondelli an play list: Midge Ure, 'the voice of Ultravox'.

The rich cultural programme continues with leading authors engaging in conversations with young readers during the 30 events of Mare di Libri (13-15 June). The festival will feature renowned Italian and international guests such as Francesca Mannocchi, Daniele Mencarelli, Davide Morosinotto, Hope Larson, and many others. A special event will host Gino Cecchettin, offering a powerful reflection on education as a tool to combat gender-based violence.

A major highlight will be the first edition of the Italian Global Series Festival (21 - 28 June), the festival that takes up the legacy of the ten editions of the Roma Fiction Fest, entirely dedicated to serial television with previews and retrospectives that will bring national and international guests between Rimini and Riccione. Among the Rimini previews: the Cesaroni Reunion on 21 June, featuring the presentation of selected scenes from the new season with members of the cast in attendance, and a retrospective dedicated to the great cinema of David Lynch on 23 June.

July lights up with the International Animation, Comics and Games Film Festival featuring the legendary Superman, who will be celebrated with an installation, an exhibition at Castel Sismondo and other initiatives. The special guests will include one of Italy's greatest and world-renowned cartoonists, Milo Manara, author of the Cartoon Club 2025 poster, to whom a large exhibition and a meeting will be dedicated. The "Riminicomix" market exhibition and the colourful Cosplay Convention (from 17 to 20 July, Piazzale Fellini) are also unmissable.

On warm summer evenings (30 July - 10 August), the event curated by journalist Giovanni Terzi together with Simona Ventura returns: 'La terrazza della DolceVita'. Set in the beautiful garden of the Grand Hotel, it will feature a rotating lineup of leading figures from the worlds of cinema, culture, journalism, theatre, and entertainment. The new features of this edition will include a photographic exhibition dedicated to Alberto Sordi, organised in collaboration with the Fondazione Alberto Sordi: a journey and an anthology of portraits to immerse oneself in the imagination of one of the most iconic figures in cinema and a great master of Italian comedy.

The festival season continues throughout the summer with more than 40 screenings under the stars for the Agostiniani estate, and in August with the thirteenth edition of the theatre and music festival 'Le città Visibili' (5 August - 15 September), set to host artists from the national scene, bringing 24 evenings of live entertainment both in dedicated venues and in unconventional spaces between Rimini and its hinterland(www.lecittavisibili.com). For the second year, the Festival of the Ancient World chooses the month of October for its series of lectures, meetings, round table discussions, and book presentations in which the past is interpreted with a view to understanding the present and building the future with greater awareness. The festival lineup closes with the sixth edition of I Luoghi dell'anima (Places of the Soul ) from 10 to 14 December. This Italian Film Festival takes place between Santarcangelo di Romagna and Rimini, focusing on themes connected to Tonino Guerra. The event was founded by his son, Andrea Guerra in memory of the celebrated poet and screenwriter.

   >Music

Music in all its forms will accompany Rimini's summer as usual: from the prestigious performances of the Sagra Malatestiana to the contemporary music of Percuotere la mente, from the jazz of Crossroads with its three appointments with Jazzmeia Horn (3 July), Italian Jazz Orchestra, Flavio Boltro & Walter Ricci (15 July), Karima (1 August), to the great musical appointments organised with Rimini's official radio partner RDS 100% GRANDI SUCCESSI, which will be in Rimini with two major events. The first will be the two-day RDS SUMMER FESTIVAL on 20 and 21 June in Piazzale Fellini, in conjunction with the Notte Rosa, and then from 4 to 13 July with RDS loves Rimini , the RDS 100% Grandi Successi station, the star of the summer, which during the day will broadcast live with the voices of Roberta Lanfranchi and Claudio Guerrini , while in the evening it will give space to open-air music and, at weekends, the energy of the Discoradio Party. The name of the RDS Loves Rimini live show has been announced, which will bring a cult 90s dance group to the stage under the stars: on Friday 11 July the Discoradio Party will be enriched by the presence of Eiffel 65, whose dance hits have made the whole world dance and go wild, transforming Piazzale Kennedy into a real open-air disco.

The summer continues with the artists at the top of all the international charts and the sets of a series of DJs who have always been protagonists of the Rimini Beach Arena, the large stage on the beach at Miramare. From 26 July to 17 August it will host six great live music events: two with live groups at the top of all the international charts and four happenings that will offer a line up of DJs who have always been protagonists in the consoles of the best clubs and the most important festivals on the world electronic scene.

Once again this summer, Rimini will be home to YouTubers, TikTokers, content creators, and influencers for the free two-day event dedicated to the new generations: Rimini Wow (1 and 2 August). The festival celebrates the many faces of social media idols, from singers to digital creators. The many talents announced include: The Breakfast Club, the most popular social collective formed by Viola Silvi, Fabio Ferrucci and Cristiano Borsi.

One of the eagerly awaited returns is the Parco degli artisti on the banks of the Marecchia river: an arena in the middle of nature that brings to the stage a programme ranging from concerts to theatre in all its forms for the entire summer: dance shows, monologues and cabaret with guest comedians from Andrea Vasumi to Filippo Caccamo to Shamzy. Back again this year, from 1 to 4 September, is the Balamondo World Music Festival, the artistic project led by Mirko Casadei. It blends the sounds of Romagnolo folk with other musical genres to immerse the audience in the vibrant rhythms of the POPular Folk Orchestra, which, alongside nationally and internationally renowned artists, propels traditional music into the future.

   > Sport

Under the banner of sport and health, Rimini Wellness stands as the premier event dedicated to fitness, sport, wellness, and healthy eating. This year as well, it will feature a rich and widespread Off program throughout the city. Among the off-show events, from 31 May to 1 June the Moab Court Experience will turn into the summer "basketball city" of Emilia-Romagna with a programme entirely dedicated to the world of basketball in all its forms and where inclusiveness is the watchword of the event in the colourful Playground, a short walk from Piazzale Kennedy. At the end of June (20 - 29 June), Ginnastica in festa Summer edition is expected with its 25,000 participants for a ten-day event in cooperation with the Federazione Ginnastica d'Italia (FGI), while from 5 to 13 July Sportdance, the most important Sports Dance Festival in Europe organised by FIDS, arrives.  From 27 to 29 June at the 'Rimini Beach Court', playground of the Parco del Mare, the third edition of 'Sandrimin' returns for the third edition. This multi-sports event was created as a 3vs3 basketball tournament in memory of Sandro Bucchi, and this year it will also feature simultaneous padel and beach volleyball tournaments. Outstanding testimonial Carlton Myers.

A reflection dedicated to sport and the importance of experiencing sport in a healthy and constructive way, going beyond the dimension of the field and the result will be the one proposed by the Festival of Sports Culture: a long weekend full of meetings, talks, exhibitions and events, from 4 to 7 September.

   >Tradition

Discover and enjoy the tradition of Romagna through meetings, music and walks. This is what the tourist committees from Torre Pedrera to Miramare will be proposing every day and every evening with their widespread "One Hundred Days of Celebration" programme, which reaches its climax with the Pink Night featuring fireworks on the sea and parties on the beach. Once again this year, the beach at Rimini South, from bathing establishments 47 to 63, will be coloured on 20 June with Un Mare di Rosa (A Sea of Pink), a large open-air stage under the stars, with live artists and bands that will make the sand vibrate under their feet, creating a soundtrack for a night to dance, experience and remember. The usual formats also return: Un Mare di Vino (A Sea of Wine), with the area's excellent food and wine to be enjoyed by the sea, and Un Mare di Fuoco (A Sea of Fire), with spectacular performances amidst flames and lights; and the iconic romantic walk along the shoreline, amidst soft music and magic.

On June 7 and 8, the historic Vele al Terzo  boats of the Romagna Riviera will gather at the port of Rimini—a unique event where the traditions and customs of the region’s ancient seafaring culture come back to life. This cultural celebration is open to all ages and features free guided tours on moored boats, where crews are on hand to share stories and explanations. The event also includes workshops for children, an exhibition of historic fishing equipment and seashells in collaboration with the E’Scaion Museum, and a coastal sailing parade open to everyone. The boats will sail parallel to the shoreline, allowing beachgoers to admire the beautiful historic vessels with their sails fully unfurled.

Ballroom dancing and more will be the star from 22 to 24 June at the Belvedere in Piazzale Kennedy with the return of the Liscio Street Parade. The highlight of Sunday the 22nd, the final evening of the Notte Rosa, will feature performances by the best dance schools of Romagna alongside the Santa Balera orchestra, followed by music from Moreno il Biondo and a showcase of Waltz, Mazurka, Polka, and traditional whip cracking displays. The evening will culminate in a grand finale dance to the tune of Romagna Mia, and close with a DJ set. On Monday 23, the Roberta Cappelletti Orchestra and artists from the Sanremo theatre will perform, followed by dancing with DJ Max Monti. It ends on Tuesday 24 June with the Luca Bergamini Orchestra.

Every Wednesday of the summer in the historic centre there is a double opportunity for evenings of shopping, food, music, art and culture, with Rimini Shopping Night (from 25 June) when the shops will be open until late, the Museums are open in the evening and La Magnèda: dinners feature at the Covered Market, where traders prepare and serve food prepared on the spot, each with their own products.
More food and tradition for P.assaggi di vino (4 - 6 July), the traditional appointment with the wineries of the hinterland between tastings and entertainment dedicated to DOC wine and for
Say, Sea, Eat (1 - 3 August), the second edition of the three days of typical, good and sustainable food just a stone's throw from the sea in Rimini, the new format of the Wine and Dine Route of the Rimini Hills, which chooses Marina Centro and the green setting of the Parco del Mare to tell its story through its most typical products and at the same time to narrate a new Rimini that makes zero km and sustainability two fundamental features of its lifestyle.
The Borgo Sant' Andrea Festival (11 - 14 October) closes the programme combining tradition, creativity and sustainability. This year it develops the theme 'The Roots of the Borgo - Between Nature and Tradition.
