For the thirteenth consecutive year, the Caritas - Migrantes and the main immigrant communities of Rimini Diocese promote the exhibition of nativity scenes from the world. It is an opportunity of religious and cultural interchange in order to increase the sense of fraternity and to break down the barriers of intolerance.
This year's theme is "The Son, the children" and on display there will be more than 300 nativity scenes from all around the world created by about thirty groups of immigrants.
In addition, there are on display photo exhibitions dedicated to: the Blessed Alberto Marvelli, the Christ in the Crucifixes in Rimini of the fourteenth century, the faces of children from various countries of the world and the “Opere di Misericordia nell’arte”.
Local traditions will be enhanced with an exhibition of children's toys from the early '900, the reproduction of a stall, the home and life of a farmer family and several works by local artists.
The exhibition is open to the public with free admission, and guided tours for groups and schools are available on booking.
Opening ceremony: Saturday 5th December 2015, at 4 pm
