An itinerant performance inside Sismondo Castle, as part of “Malatestan Celebrations 2017-2018”

from 23rd March to 8th April 2018
Theatre

Set inside Sismondo Castle, as the author had imagined, we’ll meet a middle-aged Sigismondo, tired but not tamed, alone, now he has only his beloved Rimini, which he risks to lose for the difficult relations with Pope Paul II.
In an atmosphere full of tension with conspiracies and intrigues, our main character is like a beast into a cage, showing his restlessness, his enthusiasm and his contradictions, with a tragic end worthy of his incredible life.
A really powerful plot, written in 1943 from one of the greatest playwright of the 20th century, Henry de Montherlant. A unique and unrepeatable event. Idea and direction by Gianluca Reggiani.
