Romano Garofalo - da Jonny Logan al mulitmediale
In Rimini City Museum is set up an exhibition that presents a series of comics created by Romano Garofalo: "da Jonny Logan al Multimediale".
The exhibition traces the activities of the author, from the comic strips and illustrated stories for children, up to the political satire, cartoons and film projects.
Romano Garofalo arrived in the seventies with the monthly magazine of comics "Jonny Logan" which received a great success. Jonny Logan is a young man, protagonist of stories that, in satirical key, tells the main political events and customs, both national and international, of that period.
For the first time a comics of political satire was addressed to young readers aged 13/14 years. The character Jonny Logan arrived also in TV in the program "Supergulp" on Rai 2. This was only the beginning of the creativity by Romano Garofalo, followed by many other characters, always with focus on the political, economic and media power.
One of his character, MostrAlfonso, was in the eighties the star of a television program on the national circuit Odeon TV (Slurp) and with MostrAlfonso, Garofalo becomes famous even abroad.
