The Summer festival of meetings, exhibitions, music, shows, sports and children's village activities, is now in its 44th edition, which focuses on friendship between peoples. An international event that addresses crucial topics, in free and open dialogue with the most interesting personalities of culture, politics and faith.
'Human existence is an inexhaustible friendship' is the title of this year's Meeting, that is an invitation to discover or rediscover friendship in its profound meaning, in its generative power, in its origins and in its prospects for the existence of every human being and for the creation of a new sociality. An invitation to share it, to look at its past and present fruits, to reflect on its current and potential impact on the contemporary world.
Music, theatre, dance, cinema and the various expressive languages have the great power of uniting people in dialogue and stimulating every person’s truest questions. In these edition, there will be 16 exhibitions set up inside the exhibition halls, and just as many shows, lots of which will be held at the Galli Theatre in the city centre. On the final evening, August 24, the winners of the third edition of the Meeting Music Contest will be announced, the musical contest aimed at artists and musical bands eager to put themselves out there. President of the panel of judges is Morgan, who will also hold an educational course in Rimini.
Among the guests, on the first day is expected to be Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, President of the Italian Bishops' Conference, while on the final day there will be the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
