Guided tour by Discover Rimini - I murales di San Giuliano

Bikde tour to discover the street art from Tiberius Bridge along the Lungofiume degli Artisti - the Riverside by Artists

Sunday 15th March 2015
meeting at Tiberius Bridge (Borgo S. Giuliano) at 3.30 pm

Colors, shapes and tags which illuminate the grey city - this is the street-art! Murals are present in Emilia Romagna since 1984 and especially in Rimini. The borough San Giuliano is full of pictures dedicated to Federico Fellini and the characters of the past. The art historian, Michela Cesarini, will lead the participants to discover this expression of contemporary art.
The ancient riverbed of Marecchia is reached by bike where in 2009 was created “Lungomare degli artisti”, the Riverside by Artists, thanks to the project by the Association Infezna and the work by a group of well-known painters from Rimini who were coordinated by Giuliano Maroncelli.
The murals tell the life of characters related to the sea, supported by the poetic words by Guido Lucchini.
The cultural walk starts from the area of Tiberius Bridge, recently enriched by the work of Ericailcane, an internationally renowned artist from Belluno, and not far away, there is the trompe l'oeil as a mirror of the ancient bridge - the murals created in 2012 by Eron, the famous street-artist from Rimini.
