In memory to Federico Fellini on the 22th anniversary of his death

Saturday 31st October 2015
Cinema and Video

Rimini celebrates the 22th anniversary of Federico Fellini’s death and it will do it together with his great friend, Pupi Avati.
- In the City Museum, at 5 pm, Pupi Avati will present his first novel "Il ragazzo in soffitta". The appointment is part of a series of meetings on the theme of fear. The director will be introduced by the writer Piero Meldini
- Follows, in Rimini Film Archive, at 9 pm: "In memory to Federico Fellini" - Pupi Avati will introduce a screening of the film "Toby Dammit" by Federico Fellini (Italy 1968). The film was shot in a few weeks and it is based on the novel by Edgar Allan Poe's "Do not bet the head with the devil". Toby Dammit is one of the great masterpieces of irrational and visionary film and it has influenced the story of the Italian cinema. It could have been a new episode of "La Dolce Vita", the Sweet Life, only more hallucinating and spectral. Toby Dammit is perhaps the less known film by Fellini, but it is really a focal point in the history of his films.
