Programme

The Malatesta Temple was built by Sigismondo Pandolfo in the mid fifteenth century as "sacred monument" dedicated "to God and to the immortal town", as can be read in the inscription in Greek on the side of the Temple, which is the witness of religious celebration of the building and the desire to give new life to classical civilization.
Inside the monument - designed by Leon Battista Alberti and Matteo de’ Pasti, and embellished with the works of Agostino di Duccio, Giotto and Piero della Francesca – lessons in art history and philosophy will be proposed among the art treasures, as if to 'touch' the richness of the decoration of the Malatesta Temple and its deep ties to the culture, art, history, literature, philosophy and religion.
