The 2026 Sagra Musicale Malatestiana unfolds as a rich and diverse season that transforms Rimini into an international musical hub, weaving together great performers, artistic research, and local heritage.
The heart of the festival is the season of symphonic concerts at the Teatro Galli. The inauguration on Sunday, 30th August, is entrusted to the Münchner Philharmoniker conducted by Lahav Shani, with a programme featuring Shostakovich and Brahms. This is followed on 24th September by the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini with a journey dedicated to Wagner’s Ring Cycle. On 11th October, the Filarmonica della Scala arrives under the baton of Riccardo Chailly, while on 1st October, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia hosts pianist Nikolai Lugansky. In autumn, on 1st November, the Orchestra Leonore conducted by Daniele Giorgi performs Bach’s Mass in B minor, and on 9th November, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, with Antonio Pappano and pianist Alexandre Kantorow, brings the series to a close.
Alongside the major concerts, special projects explore new languages and repertoires: Frammenti che cantano with Ensemble Micrologus evokes the medieval music of the Malatesta court (4 September); Regola, by NicoNote, is inspired by the figure of Hildegard von Bingen (30 September); and The Tempest Songbook intertwines the sounds of Kaija Saariaho and Henry Purcell, creating a bridge between the 17th century and the contemporary era (7 October).
The chamber music programme offers refined itineraries across different epochs: from the Baroque sounds of the Magnifica Baroque Ensemble (5 August) and Bellissima Licori (7 August in Sant'Agata Feltria) - in collaboration with the San Marino International Summer Courses-, to the Quartetto Doré with programmes focused on the "New World" (8 September), and the Accademia Bizantina conducted by Ottavio Dantone dedicated to Vivaldi (13 September). Also highly original is the concert featuring Il Pomo d’Oro and Giovanni Sollima, which draws a connection between Francesco Zappa and Frank Zappa (12 November). Finally, a commemorative concert featuring vocal and instrumental masterpieces, dedicated to the legacy of the late composer and honorary citizen of Rimini, Alfredo Speranza (7 November).
Lecture-concerts highlight Rimini's musical memory, narrating the lives of local figures such as Mario Bianchelli, Maria Rita Brondi, Amintore Galli, Angelica Quadrelli, and other local protagonists, pairing live performances with historical insights.
Great emphasis is placed on new generations in the "Music and Youth" section: Music Week (16 - 31 May) involves schools, the conservatory, and local organisations with widespread concerts and workshops. These are joined by a recital by pianist Daniele Martinelli, 2025 Venice Prize winner (8 November), and Cosmi sonori, performed by the Youth Orchestra and Choir of Rimini.
For dance, the central event is Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, performed by the State Ballet of Georgia (Tbilisi) with choreography by Marius Petipa, in the version by Alexey Fadeechev and Nina Ananiashvili (2 December).
The programme is completed by organ concerts, dedicated to sacred repertoire and the city’s heritage, and the contemporary section Percuotere la mente, focused on cross-genre languages. 
To support the listening experience, Parole per la musica (Words for Music) offers meetings with scholars and musicologists to delve deeper into the programmes and composers.

The 42nd edition of the premier summer event dedicated to animation, comics, and pop culture is back.
Set between the seafront and the historic centre—stretching across open-air arenas, museums, libraries, and art galleries—a rich programme of initiatives will paint the entire city in the thousand shades of pop culture. The line-up features 200 animated short films, film previews, creative workshops, masterclasses, meetings with internationally renowned authors and artists, and exhibitions. Among these is an exhibition dedicated to John Nevarez, a guest of the festival and visual development artist for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Coco, Inside Out, and many other animation masterpieces.
From 16th to 19th July, Piazzale Fellini will come alive with the grand gathering for fans of comics, anime, video games, and TV series. Every year, the square and the beachfront welcome publishers, artists, merchandise and comic book vendors, themed areas, and thrilling live performances.
The evenings on the Show & Music Stage will host concerts by Italian and international artists, such as: 
Mai dire Goku: a live show featuring a band and DJ set built around the anime and cartoon theme songs that served as the soundtrack for an entire generation;
Raggi Fotonici: Long-standing composers of cartoon music (The Amazing World of Gumball, Fairy Tail, Digimon Adventure), celebrating 30 years in the industry and 25 years since their first live performance, which took place right here at RiminiComix;
Mika Kobayashi: The Japanese singer-songwriter and pianist, and one of the most iconic voices in anime music. She will take to the stage with a special show in collaboration with Tetsuro Shimaguchi—choreographer of the martial arts scenes in Tarantino’s Kill Bill and many other films—and his Samurai Artist Kamui troupe.
Finally, the grand finale on Sunday features Generazione Vanni, a unique show where you can sing along to your favourite theme tunes from the 90s to the present day with the iconic voice of Giorgio Vanni, followed by an energetic DJ set, "Alla DiscoTEKa", by Daniel Tek.
Cosplay remains a major highlight (16th–19th July), thanks to one of the most significant conventions in Italy, which will culminate on the afternoon of Saturday 18th July with the official contest. Furthermore, for the first time in Rimini, visitors can experience Crossover Wrestling, Italy’s only cosplay wrestling show.
One of the most atmospheric events is Italy’s Largest Cosplay Sunrise: a unique gathering on the morning of 18th July that will bring together hundreds of cosplayers and enthusiasts for a group photo by the sea at daybreak, transforming the Rimini beach into an extraordinary stage suspended between fantasy and reality.
This year’s Guest of Honour is Giorgio Cavazzano, one of the great masters of European comics, celebrated for revolutionising the Disney style with his dynamic and cinematic approach. An exhibition titled "Giorgio Cavazzano: The Mark of a Master" is dedicated to his art, tracing his career and highlighting the evolution of his style—from a pioneer of Disney storytelling to a benchmark for younger artists. Hosted at the Rimini City Museum from 12th July to 6th September, the exhibition features original plates from iconic stories such as Mickey & Minnie in "Casablanca" (a parody of the famous film), Mickey Mouse and the Secret of the Castle (the first Disney "choose-your-own-adventure" story), Topo Maltese (a tribute to Hugo Pratt’s sailor), and Uncle Scrooge and the Formula One Adventure. Also featured is a showcase of covers, non-Disney characters, and a section dedicated to Mickey Mouse presents: La Strada, based on the immortal Fellini film—an essential tribute in the great director's home city.
During the evening of Saturday 18th July, Cavazzano will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award for Comic Literature, an honour the festival bestows annually upon the masters who have shaped the history and evolution of illustrated art. To mark the occasion, a staged reading of Mickey Mouse presents: La Strada will be performed in collaboration with the Fellini Museum.

This summer, once again, Romagna becomes the home of YouTubers, TikTokers, content creators, and influencers, as Rimini transforms into the national capital for new generations with three extraordinary evenings. Piazzale Fellini will turn into a true entertainment village for young people. The evening program kicks off on July 31st with the highly anticipated show by Me Contro Te: Luì and Sofì, the absolute idols of younger children, will take the stage for an exceptional free performance accompanied by their dance troupe. They will treat the audience to a high-energy show celebrating over ten years of success. The event is free, with entry allowed via booking of free tickets while seats last.
The weekend continues on August 1st with the energy of the Dieffe Bros, Italy's most famous YouTubers, who will push their limits by attempting to set a Guinness World Record: an unprecedented event that will combine the thrill of the challenge with the collective participation of thousands of fans. The Grand Finale takes place on August 2nd with a true celebration of creator culture. For the first time ever, the country's most-followed social collectives will gather on the same stage: The Breakfast Club, The Breakfast Crew, and The Snack Club. An original show and an exclusive meet & greet will allow fans to enjoy direct contact with their idols—a unique opportunity for fans to meet the most-followed stars of YouTube and TikTok.

The old town hosts an exhibition-market of antique, modern and vintage items where you can find a wide selection of ceramics, glassware, books, furniture, jewelry, silverware and various objects, all carefully dated or antique.

Macbeth, The Consul, Madama Butterfly, Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali, and La traviata are the featured titles of the 2026 Opera Season at Rimini’s Teatro Galli. The programme journeys through the great operatic repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries, alternating Italian traditional masterpieces with a significant foray into the musical theatre of the last century.
The season opens on Friday 6 February 2026 (8:00 pm) – with a second performance on Sunday 8 February (3:30 pm) – with Giuseppe Verdi’s Macbeth, one of the composer’s darkest and most powerful works, inspired by the Shakespearean tragedy.
The programme continues on Tuesday 24 March (8:00 pm) with a new production by the Maderna-Lettimi Conservatory of Cesena-Rimini: Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Consul, a 20th-century musical theatre masterpiece and a work of profound social significance.
On Thursday 30 April (8:00 pm), Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, one of the most beloved operas in the global repertoire, will take the stage.
The collaboration between Teatro Galli and the Maderna-Lettimi Conservatory continues with a new production of Gaetano Donizetti’s Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali on Friday 16 October (8:00 pm). This brilliant comic opera uses irony and sarcasm to reveal the "behind-the-scenes" world of opera.
The 2026 Opera Season concludes with Giuseppe Verdi’s La traviata, performed on Friday 23 October (8:00 pm) and Sunday 25 October (3:30 pm).
The season is complemented by a series of introductory talks titled "Parole per la musica", designed to prepare audiences for the operatic works.

The big wheel, which has characterized the tourist skyline of the city for more than ten years, rises again in piazzale Boscovich, at the harbour area. The 55 meters high attraction overlooking the sea, opens to the public on the Easter weekend and will remain open until October, accompanying the public on a memorable “air journey” to admire the entire city and the Riviera from Lidi Ferraresi to Gabicce, passing through the hinterland and the sea. 

The traditional summer evening market returns again this year. In the historic center of Rimini with its curious stalls of art objects, antiques, second-hand items, modern antiques, vintage, artistic crafts, curiosities of the past, collecting.
There will also be a space for 'I venerdì d'Arte’ (Art Fridays), curated by the Elio Morri and Goffredo Pizzioli Artistic Association. 
The initiative is carried out by the Consorzio Operatori Commercio su Aree Pubbliche (Consortium of Street Market Traders).

The magic of light, scenic lighting effects that can amaze and leave adults and children open-mouthed: these are the Fireworks, still the protagonists of great shows organized by the Local Tourist Committees on the beach in Rimini.

Spectacular midnight firework displays can be admired along the entire coastline on the occasion of the Notte Rosa (Pink Night), on Friday 19 June. As for tradition, the launch points cover the whole seafront, starting from the north in Viserba (beach 29), the south pier in Marina Centro (in front of Rock Island), and between Bellariva and Marebello (beaches 98/99).
 

Every summer Wednesday in the old town, shops are open until late, for evenings of shopping, food, music, art and culture. Many businesses participate in the event, including shops, workshops and venues in the historic centre. An opportunity to experience the city on summer evenings and visit its artistic treasures with the evening opening of the museums (9 - 11 pm).

In the heart of the historic center, the Palazzi dell’Arte Rimini host “Contemporary Summer” (Estate contemporanea), an exhibition project that invites the public to explore the languages and sensibilities of international and Italian contemporary art.
The project features two highly rich exhibitions, distinctly different in their themes, mediums, poetics, and styles, both curated by leading figures in the curatorial field.
The first section, “Sailing to Byzantium – 6 artists from New York,” curated by Richard Milazzo, brings together six artists active in the contemporary New York scene. Previously presented in Venice and now restaged in Rimini—both Adriatic cities symbolically facing the East—the exhibition is inspired by William Butler Yeats’ poem Sailing to Byzantium. The show suggests a journey that goes beyond mere geographical movement: an ideal passage from the visible world to a more transcendent dimension, where sensory experience is transformed and preserved within the artwork. The printing techniques used become a space for experimentation and dialogue, acting as a workshop of ideas, images, and concepts developed on high-impact visual surfaces.
The exhibition gathers works by Donald Baechler, with his elegant and vibrant engravings; Ross Bleckner, with intense and dynamic pictorial experimentations; Peter Halley, with textured and structured pieces; Vik Muniz, known for his perceptual play; Peter Nagy, focused on symbolic and semiotic research; and Walter Robinson, who draws from pop and cinematic imagery.
Altogether, the exhibition offers a visual journey connecting the 1980s New York art scene with the contemporary context of Rimini, building a dialogue between languages, cultures, and references that evoke a sense of continuity between present and memory, West and East.
Alongside this international perspective, on the ground floor, Rimini-born painter Luca Giovagnoli presents a highly personal anthology: “Luca Giovagnoli – Summer Dream” curated by Valentina Ciarallo. The exhibition revolves around the theme of summer as a space of desire, contemplation, and imagination. The works connect various elements—from metaphysics to pop art, illustration to influences of Filippo de Pisis—with nods to David Hockney as well. What emerges is a dimension suspended between reality and vision, where the body, the landscape, and particularly the marine environment take center stage. The exhibition guides the viewer through a recognizable setting—that of the Riviera—which progressively transforms into a more imaginative dimension. Scenes resembling photographs or advertising images are reworked into painterly visions where color becomes a dynamic element, capable of translating thoughts.

The Rimini Jazz Club presents a series of live concerts in the charming Garden of the Palazzi dell’Arte, created in collaboration with local lindy hop schools. An original project that blends music and social dance, transforming each evening into an authentic, shared, and deeply engaging experience.
The initiative was born with the goal of bringing jazz back to its truest essence: a live music capable of being not only listened to, but also danced to and shared. In this context, the audience is no longer just a passive spectator but becomes an active part of the event, invited to participate and connect with the music through dance.
The protagonist of this dialogue is the lindy hop, which originated during the 1920s and 1930s in Harlem during the Jazz Age: far more than a choreographic style, it is a universal language based on improvisation, mutual listening, and connection.
In synergy with the live jazz orchestras, the lindy hop helps recreate that vibrant and community-driven atmosphere that made jazz a global cultural phenomenon.
Bringing the evenings to life will be the performances of Circle 05 together with the Black Coffee Groove Espresso Orchestra (June 28 and July 26) and the Savoy Jazz Band (July 12 and August 14), for a musical journey under the stars dedicated to swing and sharing.

Organized by the Consortium of Trade Operators on Public Areas C.O.C.A.P. and reserved for children aged 6 to 12, who can exhibit their old toys, video games, collections, soft toys, comics, children's books, video cassettes for children, tricycles, bicycles and anything else related to their childhood .
Children are the protagonists of these evenings dedicated to socializing.

Music as a sanctuary, a dialogue, a claim, and a vision for the future rooted in its origins. It serves as a tool for inner exploration and a medium for the body to tell its story through dance and poetry. The 2026 edition of Percuotere la mente—the contemporary section of the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana—continues to expand and deepen its artistic reach. The program will guide audiences from summer through November, moving between the Corte degli Agostiniani, Teatro Galli, and Teatro degli Atti.
Staying true to its mission of breaking down the boundaries of genres and languages, this journey opens even further to collaborations and artistic crossovers. The first act (July 9) at Teatro Galli features a performance blending live music and dance, directed by Lebanese choreographer Ali Chahrour in collaboration with Santarcangelo Festival 2026.
This marks the start of a musical voyage that will lead into the dreamlike and cinematic atmospheres of Patrick Watson (July 24), making his highly anticipated return to the stage. It continues with the magnetic voice of Anna von Hausswolff (August 9), showcasing the intensity of the pipe organ in dialogue with percussion and guitars—a performance ranging from dark rock to intimate reflections (in collaboration with Mind Marea).
Autumn brings the discovery of experimentation and psychedelic compositions with the Wayne Horvitz Electric Circus (October 10). The American composer will be joined by top musicians from the Tuscany-Emilia-Romagna region, exploring everything from Miles Davis to improvisation. On October 17, the focus shifts to the "sounds of the roots" with Tecno Zaclèn, where the poetry of Pedretti and the raw sounds of the land and the coast are remastered and recomposed through digital technology.
Finally, on November 12, Giovanni Sollima, Vanni Moretto, and Il Pomo d’Oro will bridge the gap between genres by comparing the rock of Frank Zappa with the works of 18th-century cellist and composer Francesco Zappa—the very figure the American rock star celebrated in his 1984 album.

After being exhibited at Ca’ d’Oro in Venice and in New York, the restored Pietà by Giovanni Bellini returns to Rimini, where it will be presented in dialogue with the powerful and dramatic Saint Sebastian by Andrea Mantegna from the Franchetti Collection.
The project originates from the significant restoration of Bellini’s Pietà, a work preserved in the municipal museums of Rimini, funded by the Venetian Heritage Foundation.
The exhibition in Rimini goes beyond a comparison between Bellini and Mantegna—brothers-in-law since 1453, when Andrea married Nicolosia, Giovanni’s sister—and offers an opportunity to reflect on the close historical, cultural, artistic and iconographic ties that have linked Rimini with the Republic of Venice over the centuries.

One of the most beloved touring events on Italian beaches returns: two full days of music, entertainment, and attractions by Radio Deejay, from sunrise to sunset. A true holiday village on the sand that welcomes tourists, residents, and enthusiasts with a non-stop schedule.
The Vertical Village offers a rich program of events and activities throughout the day: beach volley tournaments, SUP races, music, group dances, games, and plenty of entertainment. Plus, the stands where visitors can try products provided by the partners for free, and collect gifts and gadgets.
At sunset, don't miss the DJ set on the beach with two special guests: 🎧 July 18 – Wad / 🎤 July 19 – Rudy Zerbi, both on stage from 5:00 pm.

The event for the rights and visibility of LGBTQI+ people in Romagna: a wave of colour, visibility, and civil rights advocacy that, every year since 2016, has become a staple of the Romagna summer. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, a week of themed meetings, in-depth discussions, and initiatives dedicated to history, health, information, schools, and civil rights will take place from 19th to 26th July.
The main celebration kicks off on Friday, 24th July, with the Official Pride Party at the famous Altromondo Studios (located at Via Flaminia 358, Rimini). The gates open at 9:30 pm, and the night starts with a live concert by cmqmartina at 10:00 pm. From 11:30 pm onwards, the venue splits into two dancefloors: the main stage will feature DJ sets by Queer Up Rimini, while the cave privé will host Fluide des Genere, keeping the energy high until the early hours (entry fee).
The highlight will be on the Saturday 25 July when, as is tradition, the colourful parade takes place along the Rimini Seafront (meeting at 5:00 pm, departing at 6:00 pm), moving from Piazzale Kennedy to Piazzale Fellini, where the party continues into the night.
On Sunday, 26th July, starting from 5:00 pm at L'Ombelico Rimini, you can head down for Fuori Pride!, a relaxed closing party featuring drinks, great company, and DJ sets by Perry Colante and Il Titano.

Once again, RDS 100% Grandi Successi takes centre stage in the Romagna summer season with a series of live radio broadcasts featuring Roberta Lanfranchi, broadcasting live from the Temporary Radio studio in Piazzale Kennedy, and Claudio Guerrini, joining from Milan. The programmes will air from 3 pm to 7 pm on 24 and 25 July and from 27 July to 1 August.
The entertainment continues into the evening with a packed schedule of events. On 24 and 25 July, the Discoradio Party will get audiences dancing from 10 pm, hosted by Matteo Epis, Valentina Guidi and Don Cash. From 26 to 30 July, starting at 10.30 pm, the spotlight will be on DJ sets by Matteo Epis, with special appearances by Roberta Lanfranchi. The grand finale is scheduled for the weekend of 31 July and 1 August, when the Discoradio Party returns with Matteo Epis, Edo Munari, Valentina Guidi and Don Cash, before the event concludes on Sunday 2 August with the unmissable RDS Playlist.
The highlight of the programme will take place on Friday 31 July, when Alexia is set to perform on the Rimini stage (at approximately 10 pm). One of Italy’s most celebrated artists on the international dance and pop music scene, Alexia has sold more than five million records worldwide and earned eight Gold and two Platinum records thanks to chart-topping hits such as Me and You, Summer Is Crazy, Uh La La La and the 1999 album Happy. Her success in Italy reached its peak with her victory at the Sanremo Music Festival in 2003 with Per Dire di No. Today, she continues to captivate audiences around the world, as demonstrated by the 15,000 spectators who attended her performance in Mexico City last year. 
The evening will conclude with the Discoradio Party, which will continue until midnight.

An exhibition dedicated to Pasquale Bove, a tireless observer who documented the changes of the Riviera between 1985 and 2020. The exhibition presents a selection of over fifty photographs, including celebrity portraits, crime news, and scenes of the local nightlife, offering a compelling journey through the "never-finished" identity of a Rimini suspended between reality and myth.

Second edition of Say, Sea, savour. Rimini, the new format of the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori dei Colli di Rimini (The Wine and Flavours Route of the Rimini Hills), which chooses Marina Centro and the green setting of the Parco del Mare up to bathing establishment no. 23 to tell its story through its most typical products and at the same time to narrate a new Rimini that makes healthy food culture and sustainability two of the cornerstones of its lifestyle. And all this in a pop key through an event made up of informative meetings, guided tastings, guests, influencers and lots of good music.
 

The Meeting for Friendship among Peoples, one of Europe's most important cultural events, returns to Rimini for its 47th edition. Over six days, the festival will host a rich programme of talks, exhibitions, performances, concerts and sporting activities, bringing together leading figures from the worlds of culture, politics, science and religion.
The title of the 2026 edition, “The Love which moves the sun and the other stars”, is taken from the final verse of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. The theme invites reflection on the meaning of love as a force capable of helping people understand a present marked by fragmentation and conflict, while rediscovering the origin and destiny of the world entrusted to humanity. Through conferences, exhibitions and debates, the Meeting will explore whether this fundamental human experience can generate reconciliation and new forms of social life, turning Rimini into a laboratory for cultural and civic dialogue.
A highlight of this year's edition will be the historic visit of Pope Leo XIV on the afternoon of Saturday, 22 August, followed by a Holy Mass for the city of Rimini and the entire Diocese.
The programme includes more than 150 conferences featuring around 500 speakers, 12 exhibitions and 13 performances, some of which will be staged in the prestigious setting of the Teatro Galli and the Augustinia Court.
At the heart of the event are approximately 3,000 volunteers from around the world, who help manage the many activities and spaces of the Meeting, including the Children's Village, with educational workshops and exhibitions, and a 12,000-square-metre Sports Village dedicated to a wide range of sporting activities.
Faithful to its international and innovative spirit, the Meeting also offers live streaming of many of its main events in Italian, English and Spanish, allowing audiences from around the world to follow the programme both during and after the festival.

On the occasion of the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples, Rimini will host a visit from Pope Leo XIV. This event is the result of a joint effort and close collaboration between the Diocese of Rimini, led by His Excellency Monsignor Nicolò Anselmi, the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples, and the Municipal Administration. 
The event marks a fundamental chapter for the local community, renewing the historic bond that began on 29 August 1982 with the unforgettable meeting and Holy Mass at the port celebrated by Saint John Paul II. 
The itinerary for the visit will commence on the afternoon of Saturday 22 August at the Rimini Meeting exhibition halls, where the Pope will meet participants and organisers. Following this, the Holy Father will preside over a solemn Eucharistic Celebration open to local residents, the faithful of the entire Diocese of Rimini, and all visitors in attendance, at the beach. 
The presence of the Holy Father in Rimini represents a message of hope for a region that once again confirms its status as a place of peace and freedom.

Every two years, Rimini's historic Borgo San Giuliano opens its doors to the city for one of its most distinctive and eagerly awaited events: Festa de Borg. Neither a traditional fair nor a food festival, it is a unique celebration of local identity, creativity and community spirit.
Each edition revolves around an original theme that inspires the decorations, performances, exhibitions and activities spread throughout the picturesque streets and squares of the old fishing district. Visitors can enjoy street entertainment, food stands featuring local specialities, art installations and large-scale performances in the waterfront square next to the ancient Tiberius Bridge.
The theme of the 2026 edition is "The Return of Buffalo Bill – This World Is Our Home".
The inspiration comes from a remarkable historical event that took place 120 years ago. On 11 April 1906, Buffalo Bill's famous Wild West Show arrived in Rimini during its European tour. It was an extraordinary spectacle for the time, involving around 700 performers and 500 horses, travelling aboard four special trains. For the people of Rimini, it was a unique opportunity to witness a world they had previously known only through stories and imagination. More than a circus, the Wild West Show was presented as a living representation of distant cultures, landscapes and adventures.
Starting from this fascinating chapter of local history, the festival explores themes of travel, discovery, cultural exchange and the idea of crossing boundaries. For three days, the streets and squares of Borgo San Giuliano will be transformed into a symbolic journey across continents, while remaining deeply connected to the authentic character of the neighbourhood.
The festival will be preceded by a programme of five special preview events, taking place between 29 July and 26 August, designed to engage residents and visitors in the lead-up to the main celebration.
A long-standing tradition of the festival is the Festa de Borg Grand Lottery, now in its 23rd edition. This year's lottery features 18 prizes with a total prize value of €30,400, including a OMODA 5 SUV as first prize. Tickets cost €2.50 each and are divided into four series identified by the letters B-O-R-G. Visitors are encouraged to collect one ticket from each series and create their own lucky "BORG" combination.
New for 2026: lottery tickets that are not selected as winners can be used as a discount of the same value on the purchase of a full-price ticket at Cinema Tiberio in Rimini.
A colourful celebration of history, local culture, creativity and community, Festa de Borg offers a unique opportunity to experience one of Rimini's most authentic and beloved neighbourhoods.

Rimini hosts a stage of the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, a tennis event run by the ITF, the international tennis body, to enhance the growth of the entire women's movement. ITF W 15 Rimini Cup is in fact an international tournament, dedicated to the younger professional female tennis players who are making their way up the WTA ranking.
The tournament, won in 2014 by Jasmine Paolini, will feature a parterre of participants ranked around 300 and 350. The tournament has a $15,000 prize pool.

Balamondo World Music Festival returns to the historic centre of Rimini, bringing back the innovative festival conceived and directed by Mirko Casadei, which creates a dialogue between the Romagna musical tradition of Liscio and artists from different musical backgrounds, cultures and genres.
The festival’s distinctive format is based on the encounter between diverse musical worlds: each guest artist brings their own artistic language to the stage, blending it with the heritage of Liscio and Romagna folk music to create original performances and unique collaborations.
The Mirko Casadei POPular Folk Orchestra will be the star of the three evenings in Piazza Cavour, performing alongside leading national and international guests in a musical journey that embraces folk, world music, singer-songwriter traditions and contemporary influences.
The Rimini programme features three very different artists: Sarah Jane Morris, the acclaimed British singer known internationally for her repertoire spanning jazz, soul and rock (10 September); Orchestraccia, the Rome-based collective that reinterprets folk traditions through music and theatre (11 September); and Elio e le Storie Tese, the legendary Italian band that for more than forty years has combined musical virtuosity, genre-crossing experimentation and irony (12 September).
Three concerts in the heart of Rimini’s historic centre, where the musical heritage of Romagna meets outstanding voices and performers from Italy and abroad, generating original performances and new artistic collaborations, and confirming Balamondo as one of the most distinctive events of the summer music season.

The annual event that attracts fans from all over the world and millions of television viewers for a weekend of extraordinary spectacle, both on and off the track. A high-profile event in the MotoGP season, where many elements come together: the atmosphere that welcomes the racing circus, with events and the passion of a land devoted to its roaring protagonists; the spectacle of the races themselves, featuring champions born and raised in the region; and the Motor Valley, which, along Via Emilia, brings together legendary brands and champions, circuits and events that have shaped the history of motorsports worldwide.

International regularity event reserved for vintage cars (built between 1919 and 1981 and equipped with a F.I.V.A. passport, or F.I.A. Heritage card, or A.S.I. homologation, or ACI Sport/ACI Storico card. or certificate of registration in the A.A.V.S. historical register), which every year pays tribute to the legendary Tazio Nuvolari, the greatest racer of all time.
About 300 crews with historic cars from all over the world will participate to a 1,000-kilometer route through the most charming historic centers and, as usual, stop in Rimini and remain on display in Piazzale Fellini near the Grand Hotel. The cars depart for the 2nd stage at 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 from Piazzale Fellini in direction Arezzo - Siena. They are scheduled to return to Rimini in the late afternoon with a parade in Piazza Tre Martiri, then return to the sea at Piazzale Fellini where they remain on display. As usual in the evening, the traditional Gala Dinner in honor of Tazio Nuvolari will be held within the wonderful Fellini setting of Rimini's Grand Hotel.
The departure for the third leg back to Mantua, Tazio Nuvolari's hometown, is scheduled for 7 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Parkrun organizes timed races of 5 km all around the world, a sport event which is open to everyone.
The run in Rimini is at the Marecchia Park every Saturday morning. Just register on the official website of parkrun and bring with you a printout of the bar code at every race to get the chronometric detection time. The participation is free.
The parkrun is entirely organized by volunteers and a refreshment point will be available to runners with coffee, soft drinks and snacks.
A run together in a green space is fun and it is accessible to all, from beginners to more experienced runners.
