The new season at Rimini’s Teatro Galli promises a vibrant mix of theater and dance, with a program that gives a strong voice to female artists, offers intelligent and witty social commentary, and uses the stage as a space for deep reflection. The lineup is rich with diverse performances, bringing some of the most important and recent Italian productions to Rimini. The shows feature prominent directors like Antonio Latella and Martin McDonagh, and star celebrated Italian actors, including Ambra Angiolini, Daniele Pecci, and Vinicio Marchioni. The season also welcomes major companies like Teatro dell’Elfo and the Balletto di Roma.
The main program, divided into the A-B-C series, is composed of seven shows that alternate between different moods and time periods, offering audiences a journey through laughter, bittersweet smiles, and profound insights. Meanwhile, the "Other Paths" program, or the D series, provides a focused look at contemporary society. This section of the season is unified by themes such as female narratives, tyranny, censorship, and the rhetoric of modern life, offering a powerful perspective on today's world.
Beyond the main subscription, the theater offers an exciting list of special performances. A major highlight is the return of the smash hit musical "Saturday Night Fever" on February 18th and 19th, produced by the Compagnia della Rancia. Comedy fans can look forward to a new monologue by the popular Italian comedian Paolo Cevoli on October 28th and 29th, and lovers of classic operetta will enjoy the Compagnia Corrado Abbati's production of "Cin Cin Là" on December 8th.
The dance season also presents two highly anticipated events featuring renowned Italian companies. The Balletto di Roma will restage their work "La dernière danse?" on November 28th. Following this, on January 31st, the Compagnia Artemis Danza/Monica Casadei will perform their piece titled "Puccini’s Opera - Voci di donne", an evocative production inspired by the famous composer's female characters. Beyond this, there are four special events designed to support and showcase young local dancers, further strengthening the connection between the arts and the community.
"Theater No Limits": This special project is designed to make theater accessible for people with visual disabilities. It provides audio descriptions for three shows, allowing visually impaired audience members to fully appreciate costumes, movements, and other visual elements of the performance: RICHARD III (Friday 16 January 2026, 9:00 pm) – AMADEUS (Friday 13 March 2026, 9:00 pm) – LETTERS TO BERNINI (Thursday 2 April 2026, 9:00 pm).
Youth and Family Theater: A special program for young audiences continues at the Teatro degli Atti. It includes a series of shows for schools and a family-focused initiative called "Sciroppo di Teatro", with three shows for children aged 3 to 11 (Sunday 25 January, 1 February, 1 March).
Riviera Dream Vision marks its inaugural edition with a heritage exhibition entitled “FASHION ITINERARIES: STORIES, CODES, IMAGINARIES”. The showcase explores a legacy that weaves together the history, style, and innovation of ten world-renowned brands: Alberta Ferretti (Aeffe Group), Moschino (Aeffe Group), Iceberg (Gilmar Group), and Fuzzi (Anna Maria Fuzzi), alongside the master shoemakers of San Mauro Pascoli: Baldinini, Casadei, Gianvito Rossi, Pollini, Sergio Rossi, and Giuseppe Zanotti.
The initiative celebrates 75 years of history, style, and innovation within the Romagna Fashion District.
Curated by creator Katia Bartolini and Chiara Pompa (from Culture Fashion Communication, International Research Centre of the Department of the Arts, University of Bologna), the exhibition presents the past, present, and future of haute couture through a vital and profound connection with the local area and its historical, cinematic, artistic, and cultural representations. The display is contextualised by archival photographs, postcards, and films (selected from the Biblioteca Gambalunga's photographic archive and the Rimini Cineteca) that restore the visual, social, and cultural memory of Rimini and its coastline to the visitor.
At the Palazzi dell'Arte, visitors can admire a selection of iconic garments, historic footwear, and documentary materials—including drawings, photographs, and audiovisuals—sourced from the archives of ten internationally renowned brands with roots in Romagna. The exhibition also features the ankle boot designed for Michael Jackson for the "Bad" music video and the one created for Beyoncé Knowles, both by Giuseppe Zanotti, alongside the blouson worn by Andy Warhol for the 2006 J.C. de Castelbajac campaign (produced by Iceberg), which was inspired by Pop Art.
Also on display are stage costumes from Fellini’s Casanova, winner of the 1977 Academy Award for Best Costume Design, created by the Emilian production and costume designer Danilo Donati.
The exhibition journey features multimedia installations, augmented reality, and immersive environments, designed to highlight the creative and communicative processes of 'Made in Italy' in a continuous dialogue with the historical iconography of Rimini.

On the occasion of the eleventh Rimini Marathon, scheduled for Sunday 19 April 2026, the FIDAL Federal Council has awarded the city of Rimini the honour of hosting the Italian Absolute Marathon Championships. This event of national and international significance will, for the first time, see Italy’s top runners compete on the streets of Rimini for the prestigious Tricolore title.
The heart of the event will be the Marathon Village, situated between Piazzale Fellini and the Rotonda Lucio Battisti in Marina Centro. The sporting programme, which spans three days of entertainment and live music, features two competitive FIDAL races—the 42km marathon and the 21km half-marathon—winding through the seafront and the most picturesque locations of the historic city centre.
Alongside the professional races, the event offers routes open to everyone: the Ten Miles (16km), the Family Run (6km), and the Kids Run (2km) dedicated to younger participants. Furthermore, the national gathering of "wheelchair pushers" (spingitori) is confirmed, an initiative that highlights the inclusive nature of the festival.
The awarding of the Absolute Championships represents significant technical recognition for the Rimini Marathon and the city itself, consolidating Rimini’s position as a premier platform for major sporting events.
Full details regarding registration and technical specifications are available on the official website.
Three intense days will see the participation of approximately 70,000 members from 1,700 ANC (National Carabinieri Association) Sections, Civil Protection Units, and Volunteer Organizations of the ANC Regional Inspectorates for the 26th National Gathering. On the same day, visitors can explore two historically significant exhibitions: a display of historic Carabinieri uniforms at the Amintore Galli Theater and an exhibition of vintage patrol cars from the Radiomobile Units in Piazza Cavour.
In the afternoon, a spectacular parachute drop by the 1st Carabinieri Regiment "Tuscania" is scheduled on the beach in front of the Ferris wheel (4:00 PM). The evening concludes with the theatrical performance "La foto del Carabiniere" by Claudio Boccaccini, dedicated to the memory of Salvo D'Acquisto (9:30 PM at the Francesca da Rimini arena).
Saturday, May 16, begins with the laying of a wreath at the War Memorial, followed by Holy Mass. Among the most anticipated moments is the performance of the Fanfare of the 4th Cavalry Regiment—the oldest musical ensemble of the Carabinieri, currently comprising 33 members—which will perform on the beach in front of the Ferris wheel. The evening culminates with a concert by the Carabinieri Band in Piazzale Fellini. This performance promises to move the audience with a rich and engaging repertoire, renowned for its formal perfection and the prestige of the musicians in their splendid uniforms.
The event concludes on Sunday, May 17, with the traditional parade of participants. Following honors to the Minister of Defense, approximately 70,000 members will gather along Via Destra del Porto to parade down Lungomare Tintori, reaching the authorities' grandstand near the Lucio Battisti Roundabout. On display are thirty original records – 33 and 45 rpm – from the private collection of historian Davide Bagnaresi. These include rare international editions that document the global reach of Fellini’s cinema: from La Strada and La Dolce Vita to 8½, alongside items of particular interest such as the American pressing of The Clowns.
The exhibition focuses on the creative dialogue with Nino Rota and, in the later years, with Nicola Piovani. It also highlights the extraordinary graphic quality of the record sleeves, whose visual designs reflect the visionary nature of Fellini's cinematography.
Furthermore, the exhibition features two precious 78 rpm records from 1938–1939, containing songs composed and performed during those years: I cinque Baeki’s and La cavalcata dei cinque, both written by Odoardo Spadaro.
While there is no definitive proof that the "Fellini" mentioned in the credits of these two discs is indeed the future director, several clues make it plausible: both recordings were produced by Cetra, the label of the EIAR for which Fellini also worked. Moreover, the motif of I cinque Baeki’s reappears, with partially modified lyrics, in the famous Barafonda theatre sequence featuring the three gravediggers in the film Roma.
To mark Federico Fellini’s birthday, admission is free on 20th January.
Opening hours: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; closed on Mondays (except public holidays)
The exhibition, organized in collaboration with Cinemazero (Pordenone), will open on Saturday 24th January at 5:30 pm at the Palazzo del Fulgor and is accompanied by a catalogue featuring contributions by Marco Bertozzi and Andrea Crozzoli.
These images, rediscovered in the Rimini Fellini Archive, have resurfaced after a long silence and take on new meaning today thanks to the agreement between the Fellini Museum and Cinemazero.
The exhibition retraces the director’s final works, offering an intimate reflection on his cinema and artistic journey.
Organised into three sections – “Fellini, the Director”, “F for Faces”, and “M&M: Masina and Mastroianni” – the exhibition explores the sets of City of Women, And the Ship Sails On, and Ginger and Fred. It offers an insider’s perspective on Fellini’s final works, capturing the dialogue between invention, time, and a growing sense of farewell that would later find its explicit expression in Intervista.
Opening time: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Closed on Mondays (except public holidays)
