With “Il barbiere di Siviglia”, the Teatro Galli continues its journey into Rossini's comic universe, which began in recent years, offering its most famous title this season in a production by the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino directed by Damiano Michieletto, a director with a strong innovative flair.
With costumes by Carla Teti, the show is the result of a gamble to do without traditional scenography in order to restore Rossini's inexhaustible vein of lightness to the opera.
The Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana and FORM Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, together with the Colsper Choir and the Ventidio Basso Theatre Choir, will accompany an exceptional cast, including Pietro Adaini (Count D'Almaviva), Mara Gaudenzi (Rosina), Vincenzo Nizzardo (Figaro) and other talented performers.
