Summer festival of meetings, exhibitions, music and entertainment. An event with an international character, a crossroads of testimonies and experiences of different cultural origins: a lively and unique event on the world scene, that deals with crucial issues, in free and open dialogue with the most interesting personalities of culture, politics and faith.
'The forces that move history are the same that make man happy' is the title of the 2018 edition which takes place in the Fiera of Rimini.
This year edition will propose the encounter with witnesses from the fields of economics, politics, society, science, art, and history, looking deeply at the spheres of daily life for everyone, from health to work, from mobility to innovation, focusing on human vicissitudes that, at times quietly and with apparently little impact, plant seeds of newness destined to flower, to create new horizons of knowledge. 
And, once again, the Meeting will be a dialogue with different experiences and cultures, to grasp the questions of today’s women and men, above all those of the young generations, following the fascinating hypothesis that perhaps the forces that can make us happy are the same ones that can move history, with all the time and patience that will be needed. 
The packed calendar of events includes meetings, exhibitions, music and theatre performances, sport and much more, for an unforgettable week of life experience. 
On the opening day, 19th August, Meeting Rimini will feature THROUGH THE SEA OF DESIRE, a performance freely adapted from "The Satin Slipper" by Paul Claudel. Directed by Otello Cenci, the event, in colaboration with Malatestiana Music Festival and Puglia Region, takes place in the new square on the water by the bridge of Tiberius at 9.45pm. 
Among the exhibitions there is one dedicated to the biblical book of Job and the enigma of suffering and another curated by Gabriele Dell'Otto, one of the most recognized illustrators of the Marvel and DC world. In addition to shows and large exhibitions, there are also games, workshops and sports in the Children's Village.
