Autumn in Rimini Museums

With the arrival of autumn, the opening hours of the city museums change.
The schedule of the permanent exhibition venues of the Municipal Museums in Rimini include the City Museum, the Surgeon's house (Domus del Chirugo), the PART Palazzi dell'Arte Rimini, and FM - Fellini Museum and will be valid for the entire winter period until next May.

From 1st September to 31st May (winter time)
From Tuesday to Friday: 10.00 am-1.00pm and 4.00pm-7.00pm
Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 10.00am-7.00pm
Closed on working Mondays

The exceptions are the Palazzo del Fulgor which keeps the opening hours all year round, from Tuesday to Sunday and holidays 10.00am-7.00pm, as a place dedicated to information, study and research, and the Muse0 degli Sguardi, open by reservation only, by calling or writing to the following contacts: +39 0541 704428/793851 e-mail: musei@comune.rimini.it

 

The programming of guided tours also changes to experience and learn more about the museum spaces of the city and the most particular places in Rimini.

From September there will be one visit per month to the Domus del Chirurgo, the small Pompeii that rises in the heart of Rimini and which has brought to light the home and clinic of the doctor Eutyches, and to the Part-Palazzi dell ' Arte Rimini, the contemporary art museum with the eclectic collection of works of art donated by artists, collectors and gallery owners to the San Patrignano Foundation and the outdoor area of ​​the Sculpture Garden.

The visits will be timed as follows:
Visit to the Surgeon's House: every first Sunday of the month at 5.00 pm
Visit to the Part - Palazzi dell’Arte Rimini: every first Saturday of the month at 5.00 pm.

The calendar for the Fellini Museum is wider.  It includes two visits, on the first Friday and the first Sunday of each month, at 5.00 pm, to discover the rooms of the Renaissance fortress; while it is possible to admire the Galli Theater, the reborn nineteenth-century theater of the city every Sunday morning, at 11.00 am, (not during the show), in a journey of about 45 minutes to retrace the events related to the Rimini opera house.

Costs range from € 8 for a visit to the Fellini Museum, to € 6 for the Part - Palazzi dell’Arte Rimini, to € 5 for a visit to the Domus and the Galli Theater.

Every last Saturday of the month it is also possible to admire the historical heritage of the Gambalunga Library with a free guided tour of the ancient rooms, where prestigious volumes and precious furnishings of the first civic library in Italy are kept.
Time of the free guided tour: 11.00 am. Admissions are limited and reservations are required at +39 0541 704326 (from the 15th of each month until exhausted availability).

Between the end of September and the beginning of October, on the occasion of the annual regional review VIVI IL VERDE which includes events in the gardens, parks and green areas of Emilia-Romagna, and which this year is marked with the title "Gardens of yesterday, garden today : stories and new visions ", the Municipal Museums are also presenting two new proposals:
-Two guided tours of the Part Sculpture Garden which houses works by Alberto Garutti, Paul Kneale, Giuseppe Penone, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Kiki Smith, Piotr Uklanski and Chen Zhen.
The appointment is for Saturday 24 September and Sunday 2 October at 5.30 pm
-Two guided visits to the Woods of the Names, in the new Piazza Malatesta, which recalls the rural scenes of the film Amarcord with works by Tonino Guerra, entitled The Wood of the Names of the Fellini Museum: art lives in the green.
The appointment is scheduled for Sunday 25 September and Saturday 1 October at 5.30 pm
