On Friday 18th and Saturday 19th May, the chef Gino Angelini from "Osteria Angelini" in Los Angeles will be the protagonist of a dinner entirely dedicated to Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, proposing a mix between the cooking of the 15th century and the contemporary one.
Born in Romagna, Chef Angelini with his crew will retrace the flavours and the foods of the Malatesta times; not as a simple replica but re-inventing it by mixing recipes of the past with contemporary cuisine thanks to the use of local excellent products and by matching them with the best wines.
Not without reason Castel Sismondo will host this unique appointment. This is the ancient fortress of Sigismondo which has gone back to its splendor also thanks to the recent restoration that has transformed the external courtyard in a green urban area.
In the tradition of the sumptuous Renaissance court banquets, it wasn't food the only protagonist, but it is beauty that will triumph in every single aspect. So the passionates who will book for this culinary experience will also enjoy the magic atmosphere of the Castle, tasting an aperitif in the courtyard, surrounded by the most beautiful blooms of May created by "Giardini d'Autore", before reaching, at sunset, the magnificent "Sala del Castello" where the dinner created by the great Chef Gino Angelini will be served. As a matter of fact, on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th Castel Sismondo will host, besides an exhibition of the "Biennale del Disegno", a special edition of 'Giardini d'Autore' too, the event that twice a year calls back to Rimini the best Italian nursery gardeners. So exclusively for all guests at dinner,  a visit and an aperitif to the special event of Giarini d'Autore is on schedule at 7.30pm. Another reason not to miss the experience!
The cost of 90.00 Euro includes: aperitif, dinner, preview of Giardini d'Autore - Author's Gardens, visit to some exhibition rooms of the Biennale del Disegno at the Castle (The visit is not possible on Friday).
